About the partnership
Q: What’s changing?
A: DLCNW is joining Frontier Dermatology and will be known as Frontier Dermatology – Bellingham Central (formerly Dermatology & Laser Center NW) starting October 1, 2025.
Q: Why partner?
A: To expand access, add services and technology, and streamline scheduling, billing, and care coordination—while keeping the same high-quality dermatologic care you know.
Q: Will the clinic move?
A: No. We remain at 905 Squalicum Way, Suite 101, Bellingham, WA 98225.
Appointments & Scheduling
Q: Do I need to reschedule my existing appointment?
A: No action needed. Your date, time, and provider stay the same unless we contact you.
Q: How do I schedule or change an appointment?
A: Call our Contact Center at 360-676-1470. Online self-scheduling will be available for select visit types; we’ll share links and details soon.
Q: The name sounds different on the phone. Is this the right place?
A: Yes. You may hear, “Frontier Dermatology, Bellingham Central—formerly Dermatology & Laser Center NW.” That’s us.
Providers & Services
Q: Will my provider change?
A: Your care team remains in place. If any changes occur, we’ll tell you in advance and provide options.
Q: Are services the same?
A: Medical, surgical, and many cosmetic dermatology services continue. New access options and tools may be added over time.
Q: Can I still see the same care team for follow-ups?
A: Yes—subject to availability and clinical needs. We’ll work to keep continuity of care.
Insurance, Billing & Costs
Q: Will you still take my insurance?
A: We expect to continue accepting most plans. As contracts transition, we’ll verify coverage when you schedule and let you know of any changes.
Q: Will my copay or cost change?
A: Your costs are determined by your insurance benefits. If anything affects your coverage, we’ll discuss it with you before your visit.
Q: Who do I pay now?
A: Payments will be made to Frontier Dermatology after go-live. We’ll provide clear instructions on statements and portals.
Records, Privacy & Prescriptions
Q: What happens to my medical records?
A: Your records transfer securely and remain protected under HIPAA. You don’t need to do anything.
Q: Will my prescriptions be affected?
A: Refills and new prescriptions continue as usual. Tell us if your pharmacy has changed.
Q: Will my patient portal change?
A: If a portal change is needed, we’ll send step-by-step sign-in instructions. Until then, keep using your current portal.
Communication & Messages
Q: How will I get reminders and updates?
A: You’ll continue to receive reminders by text/phone/email. Any changes to reminder messages will be communicated ahead of time.
Q: Can I text medical questions?
A: For clinical questions, please call us. Some messaging inboxes aren’t continuously monitored; calling ensures timely help. If it’s an emergency, call 911.
Practical Details
Q: What are your hours?
A: Hours vary by day and service. We’ll confirm when you schedule and post updates online.
Q: Is parking or check-in different?
A: Parking and check-in remain the same at the Squalicum Way location. Please bring a photo ID and insurance card.
Q: I have a referral/authorization. Is it still valid?
A: Most are still valid. We’ll verify during scheduling and let you know if anything additional is needed.
